Predicting Liverpool’s Premier League games in May: Can the Reds make top four?

Liverpool are still very much in the race for the Champions League qualification but two consecutive draws against Leeds United and Newcastle United have made life difficult for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The Reds will take on the likes of Manchester United, Southampton, West Brom, Burnley and Crystal Palace in May and it will be interesting to see if they can close in on the likes of Leicester City and Chelsea to secure a top four finish.

Manchester United vs Liverpool

The Reds have been quite mediocre in the Premier League this season and this will be a tough outing for them.

Manchester United have lost just four games in the Premier League so far this season and they will fancy their chances against an inconsistent Liverpool side.

The last time these two sides met at Old Trafford was back in January in an FA Cup game and United managed to grind out a 3-2 victory.

The Red Devils will be the favourites at home and they should be able to pick up the three points here. However, whether it is sports betting or checking the odds on the Polish Mini Lotto, if you’re looking to bet on something you’re looking for smart bets that will deliver results.

United are predicted to win, but their poor defensive record means Liverpool are likely to score. And if United play a blinder on Thursday against Roma in Europe, you might just want to bank on their hot-and-cold nature and back a score draw for us.

Manchester United 2-1 Liverpool

 Liverpool vs Southampton

The last time these two sides met, Southampton managed to pick up a 1-0 win over the Reds and Liverpool will be looking to avenge that defeat at Anfield.

However, they have been quite poor at home in recent months and the Reds will have to be at their best to grind out all three points here.

Southampton have lost four of their last six Premier League matches and they will be the underdogs heading into this contest.

Liverpool 1-0 Southampton

West Brom vs Liverpool

The Baggies are fighting for their survival in the Premier League and they have done reasonably well in recent weeks.

The wins over Southampton and Chelsea will have given them a lot of confidence and they will be looking to pull off an upset against Liverpool.

The Reds have struggled against the deep defences this season and West Brom are likely to make life difficult for Liverpool’s out of form front three.

West Brom 1-1 Liverpool

Burnley vs Liverpool

Liverpool were beaten by Burnley at Anfield in January.

The home side are coming into this game on the back of a 4-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers and they will be full of confidence.

Liverpool are undoubtedly the better side here but they have not beaten the Clarets in their last two meetings.

It will be interesting to see whether are the players can step up and get the job done this time.

The Reds are likely to get quite a few chances against Burnley who have conceded 45 goals in 33 League games, but their front three will have to make the most of those opportunities.

Burnley 2-3 Liverpool

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

The Eagles will look to finish the season strongly and they will be hoping to avenge their massive 7-0 defeat against the Reds from earlier in the season.

Liverpool won 7-0 at Selhurst Park back in December and they will be hoping to replicate that performance once again.

The Reds have an impressive head to head record against Palace and they’ve managed to win the last six meetings against the London side.

Liverpool 3-1 Crystal Palace
