Liverpool pre-season friendlies: Reds confirm four games, face Premier League duo in America

Jurgen Klopp shocked football fans around the world when he announced his decision to step down as Liverpool manager in January.

But the 57-year-old’s departure initially served as a big catalyst as the team went on an excellent run of form.

The Reds won the first available trophy in the Carabao Cup and looked to be in the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple.

But a late season collapse ultimately saw them fall away in the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.

Arne Slot, who won the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup with Feyenoord, is now at the helm of affairs at Anfield and he will be looking to make a great first impression by doing well in the upcoming pre-season fixtures

Like many other English top-flight clubs, Liverpool are also travelling to the United States for their 2024-25 pre-season

The Merseyside giants will play their first friendly against Real Betis in Pittsburgh at the Acrisure Stadium on July 27.

Premier League rivals Arsenal are scheduled to play the Reds at the Lincoln Financial Field on August 1 ahead of another blockbuster game with Manchester United at the Brice Stadium three days later.

Liverpool will go head-to-head with Sevilla at Anfield in their final pre-season friendly on August 11 before their league opener against Ipswich Town on August 17.
